David Goffin - Ranking At The End of 2017 Under 24.5

Tennis - Season Specials - 01 Jan 10:00

David Goffin is an established player on tour and has been inside the top 24 for the past 3 years running finishing 2016 ranked a career high 11.
The key as with Nishikori is his consistency against the majority of the field. That is where he will gain most of the points he needs to make the top 24.
He won 75% of his matches priced under 3 last year. That is impressive given he was only priced over 3 against top 8 opponents: Djokovic (x2), Murray (x2), Federer (x2), Raonic (x2), Wawrinka (x1), Del Potro (x1), Berdych (1). None of these players are people Goffin needs to be beating in order to make the top 20.
Given he is ranked 11 and the line is set at 24.5 it seems Ladbrokes are expecting a pretty notable decline. I’m not sure why given he is 26 and at a career high ranking after finishing 2015 ranked 16.
I wouldn’t necessarily say he’s improving but as long as he doesn’t get an injury I don’t see his game getting worse.
I don’t think this line makes sense and the other bookies agree. Sky have it set at 15.5 odds 1.91 for both under and over. Unibet have also gone for 15.5 odds 1.88 for both under and over.
I would certainly expect another top 20 year and I’m happy taking what seems like a very high line.
