Bernard Tomic singles ranking as of 20 November 2017 Under 25.5

Bernard Tomic is an established player on tour. He's stayed in the top 30 for the last two years reaching a career high of 17 in January 2016.

He's slipped back a little towards the end of this year finishing just one place short of making this ranking at 26, but having watched his matches it was primarily tough draws and close fought losses so I'm not too concerned.

He's a talented player with easy power at 6' 5" on both serve and groundstrokes. He's got all the ability to make the top 20 again, the main issue is simply his motivation.

He's notoriously nonchalant on court and that can hurt him in key matches on big points. This year he lost a 2-1 lead over Lucas Pouille in the 4th round of Wimbledon, for example. Had he won that match he would likely have made it inside the top 25 this year.

However, a recent article documents Tomic's 2017 ambitions: to find a full time coach, make the top 10, improve his mental approach to tennis, and do well in Australia at the start of 2017.

If Tomic aims for the top 10 and is genuinely motivated, he will comfortably make the top 25.
