Alexander Zverev v Nick Kyrgios

Tennis - Montreal Masters - 10 Aug 23:30

Was very impressed with Zverev last week at the ATP Washington, he completely dusted off Nishikori in straight sets and finished the 1st set with 100% 1st serve win and 84% 2nd serve win. He's had something of a bit of a wobble in the first round here going the distance against Gasquet, but then again he went the distance against Jordan Thompson at the ATP Washington who is a much weaker opponent.

Kyrgios has been serving big recently and averaging around 20% aces, given that Zverev comfortably beat another big server in Kevin Anderson at the ATP Washington final, he'll know what to expect, I appreciate Kyrgios is a much better mover however. Whilst Kyrgios has been serving big, he's averaged 10% in double faults in the tournament so far, this would suggest there's a lack of concentration to me and with Zverev in the form of his life and beating opponents with no mercy it could be a big factor. Kyrgios also only has 53% 1st serve in and 59% in 2nd serve points won.

Throw in Kyrgios unbelievably poor temperament and I think there's some very good value here as I see Zverev as a strong favourite, expect him to be outclassed today. He hasn't really been tested at this tournament and if Zverev rattles him it could affect his game massively. Double stakes.
