To Make the Most Meters Warrington Wolves

Rugby league - Super League - 13 Oct 19:45

I asked for this request a bet more out of hope than expectation, I thought they'd come back with odds on, 7/4 was a surprise.

Warrington Wolves are a hard working side and are always up there in the metre charts.

For the last 7 seasons they've finished 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 2nd, 2nd, 3rd, 1st & 1st in metres made.

In 2016 they racked up 32,716 metres - 2283 metres clear of 2nd place Wigan.

In 2017 they racked up 39,580 metres - 526 metres clear of 2nd place St Helens.

Team news points to Warrington actually making more metres this season than last.

Ben Currie played just 4 games last season but now he's back and will replace Benjamin Julien. Last season Benjamin Julien only made 1017 metres but Ben Currie made 2606 & 2299 in his previous two full seasons.

Ben Murdoch-Masila has signed and will replace Joe Westerman. Last season Joe Westerman made 1096 metres but Ben Murdoch-Masila made 1698.

They've also signed Tyrone Roberts and Bryson Goodwin from Australia, those boy's should make more metres than Kurt Gidley and Rhys Evans who they replace.

There's no doubt that the core of this side will continue to make big metres just like the do every season, having not been out of the top 3 for the last 7 seasons they should be bang there again.

If you then consider that the change in personal should probably lead to them making more metres than last season they look likely to make the most metres for the third year running.
