Panama Claro Championship Rick Cochran - Each Way

Golf - Panama Claro Championship - 28 Jan 12:00

The Web.com Tour season gets underway in Panama this week and I’m siding with a couple of longshots.

The first of those is Rick Cochran who can be backed at a very generous 250/1.

2015 was Cochran’s first year on the Web.com Tour but before that he was playing on the LatinoAmerican Tour. On the LatinoAmerica Tour in 2014, Cochran recorded four runner up finishes and finished the year ranked 6th in the money standings. It is notable that he started the season very well with three of his runner up finishes coming in the opening five events.

Now onto how he fared on the Web.com Tour throughout 2015. He finished the year ranked 36th in the money standings and recorded five top 10 finishes, so I’m not really sure how Bet365 have come up with 250/1. (The top 25 players in the money standings earn PGA Tour cards)

Furthermore he also started the 2015 season well, which indicates he comes into the new seasons prepared and well-practiced.

The opening event of last season was also the Panama Claro Championship in which he tied for 6th position, thus indicating that the course suits his game.

Admittedly Cochran failed to win on the Web.com Tour last year but he proved he’s more than capable and odds of 250/1 are way off the mark in my opinion.

I'd actually advise max stakes on this one as I think Bet365 are so off the mark with Cochran's price, however my max bet was £12 each way therefore I've gone with £10 each way for this one.
