Abu Dhabi Championship Thomas Pieters - Win/Place

Golf - Abu Dhabi HSBC Championship - 19 Jan 08:00

This golf betting tip comes from the Abu Dhabi Championship and the outright market.
I’m regretting not posting this tip earlier in the week as my selection, Thomas Pieters, was 33/1 with some firms prior to Rory McIlroy withdrawing with a rib injury.
The strength of the field in this first leg of the desert swing means that there will be plenty of world ranking points on offer for the talented Belgian to secure his position inside the worlds top 50.
The 24 year old has solid course form finishing runner up to Rickie Fowler in this event last year and T4 in 2015.
Abu Dhabi GC is a long, flat track with slick greens and is an ideal fit for the big hitting Pieters who has also shown he has a tidy short game and a solid putting stroke under pressure.
After an impressive Ryder Cup debut his results at the end of last season were slightly disappointing but still included a T14 in the WGC-HSBC Champions.
It would be slightly ironic if he were to lift the Falcon Trophy this week after his Ryder Cup partner and ante-post favourite, McIlroy, has been forced to pull out but stranger things have happened.
The three time winner on the European Tour is a best price of 25/1 with 888 Sport but they don't offer each way bets. Simply put £5 on the win only and £5 on a place (top 5) at odds of 5/1.
