Key Points
- This tip comes from the African Nations Cup and the game between Zambia and Ghana taking place at the Estadio de Bata this afternoon at 16.00 BST.
- I want to get this out of the way first, this tip is not a banker bet, for me its a tip that could go either way, 50/50 if you like but with the odds available its well worth a go.

- Ghana were my tip from day one to win this competition, so far they have got the job done but have been largely unimpressive it has to be said.
- They have not played to their full potential but as it happens so far they have not really needed to despite having scraped through their Quarter Final game with Tunisia which they won in extra time 2-1.
- This could be the day we see Ghana at their best however and they will really need to be against Zambia today who are big outsiders to win this game.
- Zambia will be the fresher of these two sides having played their last match a day earlier on Saturday and getting the job done in 90 minutes.
- Zambia have been one of the most lively sides in this competition, they have impressed me attacking wise, something that no other side has really done as of yet.
- What they have going forward however they lack at the back and there has been some very dodgy defending going on at the same time, as a result of this 3 of Zambia's 4 games have all gone over 2.5 goals.
- Manager Herve Renard has already admitted to press that his sides biggest problem is the fact they over attack but at the same time this has been the reason for their success so far through out this tournament so I cannot see these tactics changing for today's game.
- Ghana have been a lot more conservative in their style of play but a team like Zambia could bring that feisty and more erratic side out of Ghana that we all know lays within.
- Ghana certainly have the quality in attack , they have all been rather quiet for me and really the right kind of game could set those players alight, this could well be that game.
- Some would say that the Under 2.5 goals market has been a successful one from a punters point of view in this competition but as a matter of fact it is quite the opposite.
- Every game so far you will have seen that the under 2.5 goals bet would have been odds on but actually 50% of the games so far have all gone Over 2.5 Goals meaning if you would have placed this bet in every single game so far you would have made a killing.

- So where does all the value lie? Well of course it is with the Overs, a flip of the coin heads or tails is where I see the bet at, if someone could give me odds of 2.75 for calling Tails every time on that flip of the coin I would be a very rich man.
