Italy v Sweden Shown A Card: Any Goalkeeper

Football - World Cup Qualifying - 13 Nov 19:45

I like this bet in games like this; see my other tip for my info. I'm expecting this game to be close until the final whistle. With a place in the WC at stake, I expect to see some time wasting near the end of the game. I think Sweden will look to soak up the pressure from what seems a relatively blunt Italian attack, and be happy to keep this at 0-0 for as long as possible.

We even saw it in the Greece v Croatia game last night, despite Croatia having a 3 goal cushion, Subasic still took an age to take every goal kick and was never in any hurry to do anything. He was always unlikely to be carded as the tie was all but over, however Olsen will be told to slow the game down as much as possible, especially if Sweden are put under periods of sustained pressure, and with the tie as evenly poised as it is, the ref will be acutely aware of such gamesmanship.

We are essentially getting 5/1 across 2 players here, and this could really be won at either end. Even if Italy go ahead in the tie (i.e. 2-0 on the night), they still know that 1 Sweden goal would kill them, therefore even if the result doesn't look in serious doubt, qualification may well be..

Ref for this game averages 4 cards per game across competitive internationals.
