Fulham v Bristol City : Double Chance

Football - The Championship - 31 Oct 19:45

It's all well and good playing an attractive brand of passing football but if you can't keep a clean sheet and don't take your chances at the other end you won't win matches and that's been the story of Fulham's season so far.

Fulham were one of the pre season favourites for the title with the bookmakers but have recorded just 4 wins in 14 games so far. At Craven Cottage they've only won 1 out of 7 (1-5-1). At the weekend they needed a 93rd minute equaliser just to avoid defeat to bottom of the league bolton.

Cairney returned for that game but given the time he's spent out with a knee injury he might not play the whole game tonight which will help this bet.

Bristol City do have a couple of injury problems of their own. Diedhiou is out long term now but Djuric is back and Matty Taylor offers another option alongside in form Bobby Reid. Nathan Baker is a doubt at the heart of the defence and that would be a blow.

Bristol City have only been beaten twice this season in 14 matches which makes the double chance market an appealing one. They are unbeaten in their last 6 away games including back to back wins at Ipswich and Sunderland.

Bristol City made 3 trips to Craven Cottage in 2016 and won all 3 including a 4-0 win here in the Championship. Fulham's odds look too short here and I think there is money to be made taking them on.
