Bolton v Barnsley

Football - The Championship - 02 Dec 15:00

Big game for Barnsley. 3 straight defeats have seen them slip down the table. Another loss here and they will find themselves in the relegation battle. I expect a big performance today.

They are 7 points above Bolton who sit bottom of the league after losing 5-1 at Wolves last weekend. Even despite their recent improvement Bolton have lost 10 of their 19 league games this season.

At home it's 5 defeats in 9 games conceding 17 goals in the process. They will be without key central defender David Wheater who is suspended for this game.

Barnsley's best player Adam Hammill returns from suspension. This team are better suited to playing away from home in my opinion as they play 2 wingers and like to counter attack.

They've only lost 1 of their last 5 away games. In that spell they had wins over Millwall and Burton whilst picking up decent points at Norwich and Sheffield Wednesday.

They've done a good job against sides below them in the table winning 4/5 matches, a home defeat to Hull the only blip. I think this Barnsley side are under rated and 2/1 to beat the team bottom of the league looks worth a punt.
