Liverpool vs Chelsea Under 0.5 Goals

Football - Premier League - 25 Nov 17:30

Liverpool's pressing has been impressive at home as of late which reduces the chances their opponents can create nearer their goal. In the last 4 Liverpool home games, their opponents have registered less than 0.5 expected goals (Man United, Southampton, Maribor & Huddersfield).

Liverpool have also had some success with their pace on the counter against teams who play 3 at the back. Mane and Salah's pace has been effective on the break against Hoffenheim and in the first half against Man City (before the red card) where the outside CB's can be isolated. Conte will know this and I'd expect Alonso and Zappacosta/Moses to sit a bit deeper to protect the centre backs reducing their attacking threat.

Chelsea are also likely to play both Kante and Bakayoko in the centre of midfield, as they did away at West Brom last week. This is evidently a defensive move to sure up the centre of the pitch leading to a less open game.

Liverpool's big home games are often cagier affairs than would be expected. For example, in the last 12 months they've kept clean sheets at home to Man City, Arsenal, Man United (twice) and Spurs.
