Enppi v Zamalek

Football - Egypt Premier League - 31 Jan 18:00

Enppi take on struggling Zamalek in the Egyptian Premier League.

Big problems for Zamelek this season. One of the fancied teams before the season began, the problems this team have gone through really shows in their league performances in recent games. A new manager during the season, and recently letting leave the club one of their commanding center backs to West Brom during the January transfer window, as meant reshaping of their back four and a host of new signings to integrate into the team to go with it, means time will be needed to get things right again.

Both these teams are in contrasting form in the league. Enppi have picked up the second highest amount of points on home soil during the last 10 games, 19 points, with only 1 defeat. Only second to the best team in the league Al Ahly, who are running away with the title this season. They have recently beaten the 3rd placed team in El Masry 2-1 just before Christmas, and that great run as propelled them just 6 points adrift of the African continental cups.

Zamelek have only won 1 out of their last 5 matches, losing 3, and was humiliated last time out losing 1-0 at home to El Masry.

Zamelek are surely down on confidence and this is evident with only 2 goals scored in those amount of games. Going for a home win in this one. Zamelek having real issues at present and this could be another bad day at the office for one of the Cairo giants in Egyptian football.
