Burton Albion vs Sheffield United Over 1.5 Goals

Football - Championship - 17 Nov 19:45

Burton Albion are certainly one of the contenders for relegation this season and have shown very little to suggest otherwise. They beat Millwall 1-0 away last time out but played 10 men for a third of the game and scored with their only shot on goal in the whole game. Before that they lost 6 of the previous 8.

Burton have lost their last 4 home games conceding a whopping 14 goals, scoring 3. Villa and Wolves both scored 4, which is poor but more understandable, but they then went on to let in 2 goals vs Ipswich and 4 against Barnsley in their last home game, which certainly isn't understandable. At times they haven't even had the best of the play on their own ground - they invite pressure on their back 4 so I think this one has a chance.

Sheff United are the surprise package this season having been promoted at the start of the season. They've W4-D4 in their 8 away games this season while they've only scored 2+ goals in 3 of those 8. So why am I opting for this bet? Well firstly, it's a better price. But mainly because I feel the way Burton are being dominated in games at the moment means they are going to concede goals...and they are, with 2+ in each of their last 4 home games. They aren't brave enough at home.

Sheff United have scored 2+ goals in 3 of their last 5 games including a double away to Leeds. Leon Clarke will be itching to get back out there after his 4 goal bag in the game against Hull before the international break and wouldn't be surprised to see him get on the scoresheet again, as so often happens.
