Aston Villa vs QPR

Football - Championship - 13 Mar 19:45

Aston Villa are flying at the moment and full of confidence after beating league leaders Wolves 4:1. The return of top flight football is in grasping reach.

Only Wolves and Cardiff have a better home record than Aston Villa. Whilst QPR have one of the worse away records in the league only managing 11 points from a possible 51. Only Birmingham have picked up less points (10).

Aston Villa Home Form – Played 18 Won 11, Drawn 6, Lost 1 (Won 4/5)
QPR Away Form – Played 17 Won 2, Drawn 5, Lost 10 (Lost 4/5)

QPR haven’t been very impressive this season but they’ve grinded out enough resulted to keep themselves out of danger and remain another season in the Championship.

QPR Have only picked up 1 point against a top half side ! This ended 0-0 against Ipswich who are 12th. Other than that Lost every game.

Aston Villa cannot afford any slip ups or that automatic promotion spot could go begging. They are only 4 points off Cardiff so they must win to keep the pressure on the blue birds. Not to mention hot headed Fulham are only 1 point behind them.

Aston Villa may have a lot of injuries coming into his game but that didn’t stop them scoring 4 past Sheffield Wednesday at the Hillsborough Stadium, 3 at the Stadium of Light and 4 against arch rivals Wolves.

Although they have lots of injuries a few of the big named stars are back and raring to go – Adomah, Grealish, Snodgrass, and Elmohamady.

Lewis Grabban the on loan man from Bournemouth is a great addition to the Aston Villa squad who cannot be kept out the spotlight scoring in all 4 of his last games. He scored back to back goals leading them to victory against Shef Wed, equalised to rescue a draw against Preston, opened the scoring against Sunderland and scored the 3rd goal against Wolves which killed them off. Great player who gives Aston Villa that fire power they need.

Overall Aston Villa need the win to push on for automatic promotion, QPR have nothing to play for so Double Stakes Advised.
