Lewis -1.5 sets vs Raymond Van Barneveld

Darts - PDC Worlds - 30 Dec 19:10

Lewis will have too much for Barney here, it's as simple as that.

Adrian has been in ebullient mood all week, talking repeatedly about "my stage" and staring Keegan Brown down for daring to take the lead against him.

The lifetime head to head comes out in Barney's favour, but this is pretty misleading as Lewis was a youngster for many of those and lost 15 of the first 18, in 2006-8. If we look only at Majors, Lewis leads 4-2 on the H 2 H, and the two he lost were in 2007 and 2008. He tonked Barney 9-2 in the UK Open earlier this year.

Lewis has averaged over 100 on both rounds so far, with a tourney average of 101.16. Barney trails on 96.63, and to be honest that flatters him, having seen both of his matches.

Barney's inconsistency will be what costs him yet again, and I'll be as sad as anyone to wave him goodbye after this match.
