Rob Cross v Steve Beaton

Darts - World Grand Prix - 01 Oct 20:00

Rob Cross has had a superb year on the PDC but his form has dipped a little of late. He lost his 1st match at the weekend to Josh Payne in the International Darts Open. In the recent floor events in Barnsley he suffered two surprise 2nd Round exits. He's never played in the World Grand Prix and still has very little experience in these big Sky events, the World Matchplay was his debut.

Steve Beaton has found his form of late. Since the start of July he boasts a 21-8 record, better form than Cross has shown. Beaton reached the final earlier this month in the Dutch Darts Masters beating Peter Wright and Mensur Suljovic. His recent record on TV is pretty dire and he's struggled in this event but he did make the semi final back in 2004. The head to head is 1-1 but Beaton won their most recent encounter.

I priced this match as Cross 1.7, Beaton 2.4, so this looks a decent price. bwin are now offering the best odds. A very good bookmaker, well worth having an account with. CLICK HERE to join, place a first deposit of £20 and get a £20 bonus. T&Cs apply.
