Ian White v Jonny Clayton +1.5 sets

Darts - PDC World Championship - 23 Dec 13:10

Jonny Clayton averaged two more points more than Ian White in the opening round. His average would have been a lot more if he didn't mess around on doubles in the opening two sets.
The value in this game is with Jonny Clayton and I like the handicap line at +1.5. Ian White isn't as confident as he has been in the past couple of years with his game. His 180's seem to have disappeared from his game and he is missing more doubles under pressure especially the double 16 double 8 segment.
Looking at the stats from the opening round game Clayton had seventeen 140+ scores compared to White's four 140+ scores. Clayton will give himself plenty of chances giving White's recent performances and his recent poor scoring.
Clayton's finishing of 26.92% of course will need to be better. His finishing was awful in the opening two sets but was much better as the game wore on. I will put the opening two sets down to first round nerves, he certainly looked more comfortable as the game wore on!
Clayton looks great value at the odds to win given White's recent form but I will side with him on the +1.5 handicap at good looking odds given both players opening round performance.
