James Wade v Peter Machin Under 2.5 180s

Darts - Grand Slam of Darts - 12 Nov 20:45

Wade we know is one of the worst 180 scorers among the top players in World Darts. He looked a bit lost on stage yesterday and played terribly in his 5-1 defeat to Robbie Green. He failed to hit a single 180.

Wade has hit 1 or fewer 180s in 18 of his last 20 group games at the Grand Slam of darts so it's highly likely he won't hit more than 1 here.

Wade has openly admitted he's not practiced hard enough this year and whilst he's changed his work ethic it takes more than a couple of weeks of hard work to regain your best form.

He plays Peter Machin from the BDO who I know little about. He won the BDO World Trophy but that was the only event he played outside of Australia. He struggled against Taylor yesterday averaging in the mid 80s and failing to hit a single 180.

In the BDO World Trophy he did average 0.22 180s per leg which isn't awful but I'm not convinced he can produce that under this pressure. I did consider Machin Most 180s at 3.2 or the draw in that market is 3.75 and given it's unlikey either player will hit many that could be an interesting bet. I'll stick with this for tipping purposes though.

The 2.25 at Paddy Power looks generous to me. Most bookies are odds on. Don't already have a Paddy Power account? CLICK HERE to join & place your first bet of £20 on this tip. If the bet loses Paddy Power will refund your stake as CASH. T&Cs apply.
