James Wade v Gary Anderson

Darts - Champions League of Darts - 24 Sep 19:40

If this match were played one month ago, I would say there would only be one winner in 180's, and the match itself. In the intervening month however, Anderson has, as he stated, not played at all in the last month. I hope he has enjoyed his holiday, but he looked incredibly rusty as a result against Smith, and, with a pace that would normally suit him, he failed to hit a single 180.

In contrast, Wade hit 3 180's in 13 legs, and averaged 7 points higher than Anderson. He played far better than he did, and looked match ready and up for the match.

In their last 5 meetings, Wade has shared the spoils twice, and won their last two matches, so, despite what looks an initially poor head to head record, recent matches suggest Wade is more than capable of winning here. He goes against a world champion who is playing nowhere near that level, and looks ripe for being defeated by Wade here. All in all, I feel this is a worthwhile bet here.
