Australia V England - 1st innings score between 240 - 320 runs

Cricket - 2nd Test - 04 Dec 03:30

Australia made 442 -8 in their first innings due to a mixture of poor bowling by England with the new ball and some bad luck with them not getting their rewards when they eventually did get it right. This first innings score is widely considered by most to be far to high for what England should have dismissed Australia for.

England resume on 29-1 tomorrow and Australia in the short period with the ball bowled with the hostility and intensity that England so badly needed to bowl with, to make batting look very difficult under the evening lights.

The fact is Australia have more pace and cutting edge with the bowl and the capability to pick up wickets in quick succession and alter the course of innings an ultimately match.

England have batting still with Cook at the crease and Root to come, they should be well capable of getting over the 240 mark offered in this specific bet, the big worry for England and what Australia are rightly confident of is Australian bowling ability to blow away the lower order with fast and aggressive short pitched bowling and take the last 3 or 4 wickets for not much at all.

Both spread betting firms offer 280 as the line to trade for a buy or sale and similar with the bookmakers. This bet carry's some reasonable room either side of this (40 runs, either way) for it to come in.
