T20 Bash League Perth Scorchers To Reach The Final NO

Cricket - Big Bash - 01 Feb 08:40

So we are heading into the Big Bash where 8 teams compete in Australia go head to head. This tournament is a massive and a lot of players have announced competing here in Australia is a dream come true for example Carlos Braithwaite, Jos Butler, Chris Lynn, Andre Russell and many more have all said this.

Shadab Khan who has been impressive for Pakistan is the latest to join the Dream come to true tend and released the following statement.
“In the press conference, I said that playing in Australia was a dream for me and it has now become a reality that I am competing in this tournament."

It comes with no surprise that players love playing here…. Why? Simple. Other than the money and the fact 20/20 Cricket is a great game / anyone can win (1 bad over could cost your team and lose you the game) great individuals compete in this tournament so perfect chance to make a name for yourself.

Perth Scorchers have been the most successful team in the competition which is why the odds are what they are. I am actually slightly baffled as to why the odds are this considering the squad they have going into this tournament according to local newspapers - https://www.perthnow.com.au/sport/perth-scorchers/big-bash-league-injury-hit-perth-scorchers-must-defy-adversity-ng-b88686120

I am not sure how reliable the above source is as I am from UK but I know one thing, 3 of their main players are with the national team because of the Ashes – Shaun Marsh, Mitch Marsh, Cameron Bancroft. Along with their main Bowlers - Nathan Coulter-Nile and Jason Behrendorff injured. Cam Green and Sam Whiteman (WK) also injured / unavailable.

Although Mitchell Johnson has been introduced who is a great player he has not played much cricket so could get injured / not perform how he use to as he is getting on. Perth Scorchers will have no option but to rely on the younger / inexperienced players the likes of (Inglis, Tye, Richardson Turner and a few more).

Perth Scorchers have 13 Fit players at a push and heavily relying on the likes of Klinger, Voges and Villani to get Runs on the board. If these get out early or injured I cannot see where Perth are going to get runs from. Not sure if you can add women to your team but could be their only hope :) . But back to the serious notes this will not be allowed so heavily relying on Klinger and Voges.
