This basketball betting tip comes from the NBA and the match between Atlanta Hawks and Orlando Magic.
I really don't get these odds? I backed Atlanta Hawks at 2.05 to win the last game. Despite that tip coming off
and the Hawks leading the series they are now 2.10 to win tonight. Bizarre?
I think bookmakers are continuing to underestimate the home advantage for Atlanta Hawks. I appreciate what
the stats say and yes Atlanta were poor at home in the regular season.
Most of those games were played with rows of empty seats but now the playoffs have arrived the crowd has
been a sell out and right behind the Hawks.
Obviously the suspensions to Zaza Pachulia and Jason Richardson is a major talking point ahead of this game.
In my opinion Orlando will miss Richardson more than Atlanta will miss Pachulia.
Richardson is the 2nd leading scorer for Orlando this season behind Dwight Howard. He is averaging 15.6
points per game and is their main 3 point shooter. I can't see who can feel this void for the Magic.
Zaza Pachulia has done a good job against Howard but in essence he is just a back up player and they have
a number of potential replacements who can do the same job.
So far in the series the Hawks key players have been on better form and that is why they lead 2-1.
Jamal Crawford is averaging 23.7 points in the 3 games for the Hawks. He has made an incredible 59% of
3 pointers so far in the series.
Compare this to Hedo Turkoglu who has made 9 of 36 shots and you have one of the reasons why Orlando trail.
There will be a lot of pressure on Turkoglu especially after he missed a key three pointer in game three.
In my opinion there is no doubt where the value lies in this basketball match and I would have the odds the
other way around.
