NCAA Championship Michigan State Spartans

Basketball - NCAAB - 03 Apr 19:00

Michigan State Spartans plays in the Big Ten Conference. A conference without a national championship for 17 years now, they look to be the best team to end that for the conference. Versatile 6-7 Guard/Forward Miles Bridges who averaged 16.9 points, 8.3 rebounds, 2.1 assists, while shooting 55% on 2-pts and almost 39% on 3-pts; has decided to return to school for his sophomore season. Bridges is the Big Ten's leading returning scorer and the conference's third-leading returning rebounder. Miles will definitely average 20 or more points per game this season for Spartans. Last season, Michigan had the best freshman class in their conference and luckily for them, they are all returning this season. Infact they are returning almost 7 of their last season 10 best players. Alongside Bridges, super sophomore trio of Nick Ward (13.5 ppg & 6.5 rpg), Cassius Winston (6.7 ppg & 5.2 apg) & Josh Langford (6.9 ppg) make up Michigan returning top four scorers. Forwards Ben Carter, a sixth-year graduate student, and Gavin Schilling, a senior, return to the court after missing all of last season due to injuries. Also, top 10 recruit and projected top 10 pick Jaren Jackson with Xavier Tillman are solid incomings from recruiting class.

Michigan are clearly the most talented and versatile squadron of sophomores in college basketball at the moment and i just can't see why they can't win it all. They are second-favorite behind Duke Blue Devils. In my own opinion, Duke will struggle this season cause they are facing a big significant roster turnover. Their departures includes Luke Kennard (19.5 ppg, 5.1 rpg, 43.8% on 3pt.), Jayson Tatum (16.8 ppg & 7.1 rpg), Frank Jackson (10.9 ppg, 39.5% on 3pt.) & Harry Giles have been drafted; Amile Jefferson (10.9 ppg & 8.4 rpg.) & Matt Jones (7.0 ppg.) have graduated while Chase Jeter transferred to Arizona. That's a whole lot of chemistry gone there. Most of their squad are filled with Freshmen. Duke are ranked No.1 to win the title this season, they have only managed to win it once in their last 8 seasons when ranked no.1 which was in 1991/1992 season.

Michigan State Spartans were actually the last Big Ten team to win the National Championship and also factor in a Hall-of-Fame coach in Tom Izzo, who is one of the best around. Then you will see this is the best team to win the National Championship this season.
